Dropdown opening with click

So, I’m trying to detach from bootstrap in this project that I’m doing (to improve my front-end practices and also because I’ve done a lot of site styles, if I implemented bootstrap would ruin everything). I want to create a dropdown that works with the click, in the same way as the bootstrap, which can be used in any case, and in most, in reality, in all, is very basic. I found this: http://www.w3schools...js_dropdown.Asp, I even implemented to give to use in any case (in various parts of the site, not only in the menu), but the problem is that when you activate two, the two become active, and the idea is only one being active at a time. The other tutorials only serve for menu in a single case. I was wondering if it would be possible to take only "parts" of the bootstrap, since I would not use everything and only weigh the loading of the site. Anyway, any master at the front end who could help? If you were still in doubt, is something like the bar that has the notifications, and messages on facebook, is this behavior...

within the bootstrap site itself you can disable all resources except the dropdown, follow the link: http://getbootstrap.com/customize/

then just go to the bottom of the page and compile.
