My Android Studio 2.1.1 (Windows XP) is giving problem when opening: the virtual mobile screen is gray instead of white. With this, any item I insert into my project is invisible.

I found the solution myself:
Click on the "Apptheme" button, located above the preview, and in the "Select Theme" dialog box, choose another pro app theme: "Dark Material", "Light Material", "Holo Dark", Holo Light" etc.
