Postcards with background image and dynamic text in php, for sending by email

Good afternoon,

I will need to make a web page where a user chooses a background image and then in a text box adds a text and finally can send it by email. Kind birthday Christmas card etc. Can anyone tell me any tutorial with the best way to do this? I have done one but it gives many formatting problems and for example in gmail nothing appears
