There is a repository on github where it already contains a project. I have to create a new branch and put my own project there, however, I don’t know how I direct to the repository, and besides, to a certain branch, someone can show me the steps to solve this ?
You will need to check out the repository and it will overwrite everything, only after that you change the branch and put your files there. Anything else you try besides that you will lose the files.

Yeah, I can’t lose the files that are in master, I would have to go straight to a new branch

You’re going to have two code projects in the same repository, is that it? They’re dependent? Why do they need to be in the same repository? Then you’ll merge into the master branch?

There is a project in master with a goal, I created a different project, but with the same goal, so I was told to put it in the same repository, but while it is not finished, to be placed in a different branch.
