Syntax error, unrecognized Expression when calling a function with Jquery

Question

I am using in my project the Easyautocomplete, which is working perfectly. However I have this error in my project and could not find it. If I take Jquery the error does not happen. It follows my Jquery import that is being done in the 'head' and this calling the Jquery file from inside one of the directories of my project. Follow the calls that are inside the 'head' tag':
