How to create a domain using vestaCP in Digital Ocean

I don’t know if I’m doing it the right way because it’s not working, I created a domain in the vest.

I went to my domain’s DNS and added a CNAME record meusubdominio then went on web also in the panel and created the domain meusubdominio.meudominio.com.brputting the IP that directs to my website.

According to all the tutorials I followed is the correct way. However in practice it is not working, it even creates the folder on the server referring to that domain but it is not working.

  • CNAME pointing to where? Have you taken into account the propagation time? Tried to restart Nginx, Apache or whatever you’re using as a web server?

  • I understand that this is a case for the support of said company, and I’m voting to close as out of scope, but if anyone can help in the comments, we have the best of both worlds: the question is closed, but the author does not leave without help.

  • @Claydersonferreira CNAME inside my main domain pointing to the domain ... mysubdomain --> mydomain.com.br So I did it yesterday and so far nothing and also already restarted the server.

  • @Bacco humm at a certain point you’re right but the fuck that I’m using a system that is not of the digital Ocean and this is a free system not if they answer me with equal speed here. Was malz I thought I could post

  • @Erick even if the community understands that it’s the same case and the question is closed, the comments keep working, so you can try to help you anyway.

  • @Bacco humm got it Thank you!

  • @Erick, by the way, would be the case if you see if the DNS is configured correctly, have some online tests for this, so you see if the A record is pointing to the correct IP. Once this is solved, then it is the case to set up the hosting itself.

  • here is a good start: http://digwebinterface.com/ - Put the domains, click on "Dig" and see if the correct Ips appear. For HTTP hosting, what matters is the A record, which it shows by default. You must win the DNS stage and then worry about configuring the Host.

  • PS: Note that the question remains open, it may be that the rest of the community understands differently from me, and does not vote to close. It only closes with 5 votes (or one moderator). It even tested if the DNS is already right?

  • @Bacco I don’t know if I did a certain massss put the main domain and it presents an IP that n matches what I use in the DNS configuration and that currently work. When I place the domain appears the dns of the cloudflare q use in the main

@Erick in fact cloudflare changes the whole situation. If you want to use CF in Ubdomain, the tests get even more complicated. Remember that the CF takes the main DNS, so you may have to go to the CF panel to make more specific settings, it depends a lot on the real case.

  • @Bacco poutz vacilo meuuu pior q the only thing I didn’t do was set up there .... Thanks man man
