Elastic scroll effect in mobile applications

I would like to know how to make an effect today widely used in mobile applications, in which you move the objects with your finger "elastically" horizontally or vertically, sometimes taking the objects out of the screen limits, and soon it returns to the origin position, in automatic motion!

As it happens on facebook, instagram, Twiter...

On Facebook(iOS apps) >>> Feeds: When you scroll the feeds down with your finger reaching the top of the column and force beyond the limit, besides the elastic effect, it refreshes the current information of the feeds!

  • No idea... I searched websites but I couldn’t find anything like it... Since it is a target content in mobile applications, and recent, it becomes difficult to find something relative! I wanted to understand if it works only in mobile applications or if it works for web sites too, and an idea of how it works! I’m still learning effects with css and javascript

  • and another fact is that it serves for any html object... I see in single objects as an image or button, and even in whole Divs with the facebook case!
