when I installed and tried to open for the first time, it worked perfectly, however, when I tried to open again later, when I click on "Start a new Android Studio project", the window opens, but is transparent eternally (as you can see in the image). no error warning, missing files, nothing.

after I had this bug, I tended:

  • update all tools and Sdks
  • run as ADM
  • run the program without any other open program to have more pc power
  • add the system variable "JAVA_HOME" with the locations of Jdks and Jres
  • install individual SDK tools (SDK tools)
  • uninstall and reinstall all Jres, Jdks and Android Studio
  • change versions of Jres and Jdks to older versions
  • I looked for the minimum requirements to run the program (which you can see here: http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html)
and I think my pc runs (it has 4gb RAM, 150gb of free HD space where is installed the program, AMD Sempron 145 processor 2.8ghz, win 7 32-bit, 1280x1024px screen resolution, and all Jres, Jdks and Sdks needed)
  • yesterday I tried to move the installation location to another HD, and on my last attempt, I returned the pc with a system restore, for 4 days before the first installation, none of this solved

Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? If not, is there any other program I can use instead in Android Studio? am novice in developing for android, I really need a lot of help.
Sorry about the giant post, I’m just trying to be as specific as possible.

Thank you in advance, have a good day.

After all this, I would format.

  • I’m starting to consider this idea :(

  • Could be the friendly operating system.

I find it difficult, the win 7 does not usually give problem with anything :/

  • Check Android Studio log (https://intellij-support.jetbrains.com/hc/en-us/articles/206544519)

  • try running in compatibility mode.... maybe it works

I’ve had a similar problem, I could only solve by formatting the machine, not even getting a beta version of AS solved. I recommend doing this. of the least headache.

(This problem happened to me when I used android studio and Eclipse with ADT on the same machine, I don’t know if it has any connection, also had other environments with Cordova, Ionic framework)

Oh yes, okay so, well, this is going to be an idea that will take a lot of work, because even the CD to do this I have more haha so I’m leaving this idea last. I think if it is to format it is better I hunt some other program to use in place of AS, I have the eclipse too, but I already had the first time opened and worked :/ this that I wondered.
