I’m starting a game development for Windows 10 and would like to know if Firemonkey can use my GPU without any extra configuration.
I’ve heard "rumors" that Firemonkey can actually automatically use Direct2d, if available, for its routine rendering tasks.
I came to this question because I started trying to use (without much success) the Winapi.D2D1 header that comes with RAD Studio.
So, how does firemonkey work underneath the scenes? Can it use Directx and dedicated GPU without any extra configuration? It would be relevant the difference in performance between Firemonkey and Directx "raw" for game development?
