Sharepoint - Block excel connection data view

Question

Safety issue in connection information.

I implemented a Sharepoint and users open the spreadsheets through the web, but they have the option to open in Excel too, it is possible to block this option?

Or if it is not possible, when they open the file in Excel, have to block the view of the data of the connection with the database?

In read mode they cannot edit, but still have access to the menu. In restricted read mode they are not even able to access the file.

The only solution would be to implement IRM through AD RMS?

You can edit this setting by entering the document folder of your Sharepoint by going to the option "Settings" (the gear) -> Permissions -> Advanced Permissions Settings -> Select within the option "Opening Document in Browser" will have 3 options to be selected.
