Good morning, I’m having a little problem printing labels on a Zebra GC420T printer from a Java Viewer. The fact is that the printing comes out correct, but the printer keeps releasing the roll of paper later and comes out another 5 blank labels. The label was made with Jasper Report. The only problem is to get out more paper than necessary. I have researched but found nothing referent. Has anyone ever had this problem, or has a suggestion of what might be the cause.

Thanks in advance.

  • I believe that the problem of getting out paper after printing, is directly linked with the print size Check printed size x label size.

  • I’ve been over it, but I’m gonna check it out. The Jasper page configuration is correct, but when I open the file properties it has a different value for width and height.

  • That’s probably the problem

  • Unfortunately that’s not it. I have in Jasper 10x5 cm in portrait. and that’s what the printer should receive. Can’t be some configuration in Jasper Viewer that has to be set?

  • Zebra printer is default?

I’ve had the same problem using Jasper reports, make sure there is no white space at the end of the label and try to decrease the band size. In my case solved. Good luck!

  • Thanks Moslite. I’ll check it out.

my label is 10x5 cm. And I found that even setting that in the Jasper format page it is playing 10.8x29.7 cm on the Viewer Jasper. I checked the influence of the margins but it had no effect. In fact it fits to 9,984x4,974 cm with margins of 0,706 cm. I discovered the problem just need to figure out the solution.
