How to use dialogs in GTK+

I’ve been looking on the internet how to use dialogs in GTK+, and I ended up finding a handful of articles in English and none in Portuguese. Reading the articles in English, since I have an understanding with this language, I could not find the coherence that the author wanted to convey, so I do not know how to use dialogs in GTK+.

Could you explain to me?

Just a doubt, your problem are widgets (windows, dialogs) or you are not able to compile anything, not even a prompt screen?

  • So the basics of GTK+ I know. I can say I’m yellow belt, rs. The problem is that I can’t understand the dialogs, I wanted like a class, you know? The only thing I know about them is that they’re popup windows

  • Gtkdialog is just a Gtkwindow with some predefined widgets. In practice it is only a component of "convenience" to facilitate the standardization of the interface and give less work to the programmer.

  • Right. But if you want a better answer, give me a "lesson" on the dialogs.

  • What do you mean, "it’s not clear enough"? I would even understand the question being marked as too broad for those who think you can’t tell everything about Gtkdialog in one answer, but it’s pretty clear to me: the guy wants to know how to use Gtkdialog. If you do a quick search for "how to use" or "how to use" you will find a lot of open questions in the same spirit.
