I have a question about uploading files, I have to create folders for each client and save files from them (word files, excel, txt, dwg, dxf, ascii, pdf) ?
It would be feasible to store all this for each client in an online directory or would have the possibility to save on a pc in the office and use the folders stored on that pc to be accessed on other pcs with online system?
It’s keeping me up at night.

Viable and more stable, is to upload it to the same server (online).
Of course, in an organized way. For example:
/diretorio_de_upload/clientes/id-do-cliente/tipo-do-arquivo/arquivo.ext
So at least everything is organized by client and file type.
To do this, you’ll have to set up much more things, for example:
The most practical, simple and fast without a doubt is to keep online.
Maybe because of the amount of files / access it is better you get some server that provides you with this on demand.

From what I understand you need to create folders for each file type, it’s not even?

would be a folder: Nameserver that will have the files uploaded may be from any or all of the mentioned extensions... my fear is my hosting get very slow access
