XAMPP 5.6.16, apache error with globlas on

Question

I installed Xampp 5.6.14, changed the clause to on (register_globals=on) in php.ini and now apache does not start, application error.

I’ve already made changes to http ports for 8000 in httpd.conf and 4430 in http-ssl.conf. Skype is off and netstat shows no use of ports.

This feature was removed from php in version 5.4 according to the manual http://php.net/manual/en/security.globals.php.

The way is to use a little regex to replace certain code snippets.
