I bought my first one this week. I’m searching for a local server that runs cute on Macbook Pro, but what I use on Windows (WAMP) doesn’t have it back for Mac.

WAMP has no Mac version, after all W means "Windows":
Windows + ToPache + MySQL + PHP
What you might be looking for is the MAMP:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MAMP
Just as Linux users should search for LAMP: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LAMP_(software_bundle)
But...
... you are not limited to these distributions, Wikipedia has a list of "Amps" with several alternatives, it is worth checking out:
Caraca had no idea that ahuehsaueuaea was worth even mano xD
I would recommend XAMPP, which exists for both Windows and OSX.
Detail, the M of MAMP means Mac, but also has for Windows, hehehe.
Ah, it’s still a W upside down :P - Or is it [M]icrosoft Windows? : P x 2

You can install apache, php, postgresql, mysql and many others with https://www.macports.org
Or rather, use the https://www.vagrantup.com and upgrade your environment into a VM, thus being isolated from MACOS.

osx has a pre-installed php and apache distribution.. a drawback is that being part of the operating system package, it is usually lagged. Just be careful when setting up another facility to avoid conflicts with existing installations.
