How to change the link in the mobile version?

Hello I have two links that when they are in the desktop version show a link, but in the mobile version shows another. I wonder how I can make a javascript that changes when I’m on a particular platform?

  • Do you use any framework like Bootstrap? Or just pure javascript even?

  • Can’t use framework would q be pure javascript

Use the Detect Mobile Browsers, it works well and has versions in various languages including pure JS. So just make a if to determine whether the user is using a mobile browser or not.

Using regular expression to detect browser type

Paste at the bottom of your page. Change the idDoSeuLink to the identifier of your Anchor tag. Also change the links to the necessary links.

The above code uses the regular expression of Detect Mobile Browsers. So you don’t need to include the library. There is also the option of Whichbrowser.

You can use screen.width to check if it’s mobile or desktop.

Example: console.log(screen.width); <- Shows the width size of your device.

knowing this you can do something like: 

if (screen.width <= 800) {
     document.getElementById("mobile").style.visibility = "visible";
  }else{
     document.getElementById("desktop").style.visibility = "visible";
 }

1 - Using a regular Expression to verify which browser, as Gabriel Rodrigues said, but I find a code not understandable due to the size of the regex.

2 - Checking the screen size using the innerWidth and the innerHeight, but depending on the browser, the values may be different. In Chrome, you don’t consider the scroll bar, unlike IE, which can cause you some problems.
