I have a web application that I develop in partnership with another programmer. There are situations where we cannot share a particular file.
Example: file nhibernate.cfg of the briefcase bin.
It is possible to keep two versions of the same file one for each user?

Try a Branch. In Visual Studio, go to the Team Explorer tab and open Source Control Explorer. Search the file tree for the file you want, right-click it, go to the 'Branching and Merging' menu, and select 'Branch'. Click ok on the screen that will appear.
I’m not sure this is gonna work out the way you need it, but it’s worth a try...
I researched about the branch, but in my case Naum will solve. anyway very much!

I know a way that I wouldn’t say the most elegant, but it works...
When you include a file in your project (it can be dragged and dropped into the folder in Solution Explorer) it will be marked with + for Addition, if you give a Undo Pending Changes the file will continue in your project but will be ignored.
Since you already have the versioned file, you would probably need to remove this file to later perform this procedure.

A common practice in version controls is to ignore that the file in question went to the repository, thus obliging each one to create their own version of the file. See if it fits your case.
