Where to create the Assets folder in an android project?

Where the folder should be created Assets?
I want to use it to store my sources.

• In Android Studio right-click the folder and navigate to Assets Folder.

• On the next screen just click on Finish.

• This will create the folder assets at the main root of your application.

I did not test the answer because I do not have Android Studio installed on this machine, but according to the original answer this answer serves pro Android Studio 1.0 and higher versions.

The briefcase assets should be created at the root of your project, ie in the same folder directory gen and res for example.
