I have a public project on the free account, has how to make it private?

    I found the question sufficiently acceptable for the community, I saw no justification for the question to have 4 negative votes. Someone who voted could justify?

Just go to your repository settings by clicking "Settings":

Then look for the section "Danger zone", at the end of the settings page:

By clicking the button "Make private" (make it private), you may need to confirm your password. After that, your repository will be private.

  1. On Github, to the repository home page.
  2. On the repository name, click on Settings.
  3. On the "Warning Zone", near the Make this repository private, click on Make private.
  4. Read the notices about making a project private.
  5. Enter the name of the repository you want to make private, for example, accountname/repo.
  6. Click on I understand, making this repository private.

Yes! Choose your project, go to your project settings, at the bottom of the page you have an option Tornar Privado.
