Value sent to JSP via Spring Model does not appear

I’m developing a project using Maven, Spring framework(mvc module), and database searches through JDBC.

I have the following code in my controller:

However, when I check JSP, the model’s value is not replaced by the keys, continuing ${Author.name} At first I imagined that some dependency on the project would be missing, but I couldn’t figure out which...

before web.xml was in version 2.3, but I switched versions, the ide started to give problems, so I compiled and managed the package on the outside with Maven, the compilation and the package are generated without error messages, I manually deploy from . War in tomcat7, but the error persists. Someone’s been through this trouble??

  • @gabrielhof I think I solved, I decided to try tomcat8, so I compiled and managed the package by Maven, and I deployed it on the server, the tomcat8 is working perfectly. thank you!
