Missing IF in Procedure

I did the following study, but in the END// appears 'missing if', someone knows why?

William helped me with this problem, but every time I try to register, the trial only goes to the last else.

  • Because Null compared to something is always Null. Digamos que o CPF nao esteja cadastrado, nesse caso a Query select cpf from tbl_usuario where cpf = n_cpf retorna Null e quando voce compara v_cpf <> n_cpf é false mas v_cpf = n_cpf é falso tambem, entao cai para o else. https://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/8.0/en/working-with-null.html

This is because NULL compared to something is always NULL. Reference

Digamos que o CPF não esteja cadastrado, nesse caso a Query "select cpf from tbl_usuario where cpf = n_cpf" retorna NULL e quando você compara v_cpf <> n_cpf é NULL (nem false nem true) e v_cpf = n_cpf é NULL também, então cai para o else.

Here a solution:
