Datatable does not order correctly

I’m using the plugin datatables to paginate results in a table. The problem is that the first column has 3 dates:

26/11/2015
19/11/2015
03/12/2015

I need to order the results of dataTables based on these dates. The correct would be from the last date (03/12/2015) to the smallest (19/11/2015). That is, it was to be like this:

03/12/2015
26/11/2015
19/11/2015

I have the code

$('#example').DataTable({
  order: [[0, 'DESC']]
});

But it’s not working. I can put DESC or ASC, he does not command

Complementing the @Ricardo response, the sorting problem in the dd/mm/yy format can be fixed with the plugin Ultimate date of datatable.

I had a similar problem as can be seen in the picture.

Resolution

To solve this problem, as stated in reference, should include the plugins

//cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/Moment.js/2.8.4/Moment.min.js

//Cdn.datatables.net/plug-ins/1.10.10/Sorting/datetime-Moment.js

in the header, and then in javascript, include the following code:

$(document).ready(function() {
        $.fn.dataTable.moment( 'DD/MM/YY HH:mm:ss' );    //Formatação
        $('#tabela').dataTable( {    //Criação da dataTable
            "order": [[ 4, "desc" ]]   //Campo ordenado por padrão (ao carregar página)
        } );
} );

Remembering that on the line

$.fn.dataTable.moment( 'DD/MM/YY HH:mm:ss' );

is the format the date will be visible in the table (fields can be seen here) and

"order": [[ 4, "desc" ]]

is the column you want to sort by loading the page (in your case, it would be the 0).

After these modifications, I was successful in the result, seen in the image

I believe your problem is the lack of Jquery Javascript loading for Datatable, this is it: https://cdn.datatables.net/1.10.10/js/jquery.dataTables.min.js

I made two Fiddles for you, one without working, with the same behavior as yours and one working, notice that the only difference is that what works has this javascript loaded.

Note that column 3 is the date, just in your case change to zero, you didn’t have your HTML to use and so I decided to take an example. (Here’s the link from where I got the code)
