$( function() {
$( "#slider-range" ).slider({
range: true,
min: 0,
max: 500,
values: [ 75, 300 ],
slide: function( event, ui ) {
$( "#amount" ).val( "$" + ui.values[ 0 ] + " - $" + ui.values[ 1 ] );
}
});
$( "#amount" ).val( "$" + $( "#slider-range" ).slider( "values", 0 ) +
" - $" + $( "#slider-range" ).slider( "values", 1 ) );
} );
</script>
</head>
<body>
<p>
<label for="amount">Price range:</label>
<input type="text" id="amount" readonly style="border:0; color:#f6931f; font-weight:bold;">
</p>
<div id="slider-range"></div>
</body>
</html>
From what I understand:
min: 0,
max: 500,
values: [ 75, 300 ],
Here you set the minimum, maximum and default values (value that will appear when the page is loaded, without the user modifying the range)
<input type="text" id="amount" readonly style="border:0; color:#f6931f; font-weight:bold;">
Here is the styling, border:0 means it will not have border, color:#f6931f is the color of the text and font-Weight:Bold applies the bold effect to the text
Note: this example uses inline css, the best would be to use linked css recommend you read about it
