Could I have my own ip? If so how? Who says that my computer has an ip, is the internet provider or Dhcp? Or is it the Network Adapter, Netbios, or Mac Address? Router? Or TC/IP protocol ?

It is always the DHCP server. The point is that since the internet is a network, there are several layers that can change this. For example. if your pc is connected directly on the modem, the DHCP of your provider will give you your IP, if there is a router in the middle of the way (and this is worth tbm for the ones that tbm are modems) then the router tbm has a small DHCP server and it will create another internal network and give you an IP of that network (and for the Internet, all the Pcs in this subnet have the same IP).

Usually providers provide residential customers with dynamic IP addresses, that is, their IP changes over time on the internet, but normally you can ask for static IP as an extra service with your provider, and of course, for a price.

It is not always DHCP... We can manually disable and insert any IP even if out of zone

Yes.

If yes how?

Request IP

When you hire a provider, it sets an IP for your router, this IP may be dynamic or static.

Negatives are welcome, especially if accompanied by an explanation giving everyone some kind of knowledge. But in general few are able to offer it through the negative...

  • It must have been because of the link you placed. This link makes no sense to anyone who just wants one or another fixed ip. Looks like you’re being sarcastic.

  • Not at all... In case we say that "ai would be the root", of course you can request one on ISP tmb... But it is part... I just find it interesting to know how to use the negative, although there is no consensus, in my view it is elegant to say why of the negative, that as I mentioned help not only to me who answered, but to all in general.

  • And yet my answer is not wrong (it is one of the options), at least that part...
