Is there an API/Web Service that provides the names of existing cars?

I need it to be an up-to-date list of all car models, classified by brand.

I am developing a classified site and I need this for the filtering of results.

Is there any agency or body that provides this?

It is difficult to find people or companies who really want to provide this information, however I know the Carquery which is an easy-to-use JSON-based API to retrieve detailed information from car and truck including year, make, model, trim and other specifications.

Since nothing is free in this world, you may have to disentangle some moneys to use it depending on the intention and objective of your project.

There is also the Automotive-model-year-data but 2014, and really maybe, I say maybe, will not be updated because of the cost to keep this information.
