What is "whole"

the integers are made up of the natural numbers,1 including zero (0, 1, 2, 3, ...) and all negative numbers symmetrical to the non-zero natural numbers ( 1, 2, 3, 4 ...). 1 Two numbers are symmetrical if, and only if, their sum is zero.2 Sometimes, in pre-university education, these relative integers are called.

The set of all integers is represented by a bold Z .

The integers (together with the addition operation) form the smallest group containing the additive monoid of the natural numbers. Like the natural numbers, the integers form a countable infinite set.

Integers can be symmetric, when numbers have opposite signs, or there can also be the absolute value of an integer, which is the distance between the origin and the number.
