The application was developed for the version 4.4.2 of Android, and when I open this app on Android 6.0, it opens but closes right away.

What can it be?

  • Already tried running your app on a device with version 4.4.2 ?

  • yes, in 4.4.2 it works perfectly! Even in version 5 it worked.. but in 6.0 it grabbed!

  • Do you have a Delphi license or are using it cracked ?

  • he’s licensed...

It may be for the Android version, you need to download the Hotfix that Embarcadero released, so the apps will work on Android’s higher than 5.0.

http://cc.embarcadero.com/item/30110 enter with user and password that were used to register the license and download it.

  • I’m using xe8.. here says it’s for xe7..

  • The application works in version 4.4.2 but when running it in version 6.0 it closes, you are with the SDK Tools updated with the latest version. If I’m not mistaken the latest version is the 25.2.5

  • @Thiagoavila, actually XE8 already has all the Hotfixes installed, it was supposed to work, if it doesn’t work updating the SDK Tools you have to check if the device is compatible with Radstudio, check out this link: http://docwiki.embarcadero.com/RADStudio/Seattle/en/Android_Devices_Supported_for_Application_Development

I checked here and my android tools was outdated.. but I’m upgrading to 25.2.5!

  • updated, made new app and still not running..

  • @Thiagoavila, access the link I passed in the previous comment, try to check if the device is compatible.

  • @Thiagoavila, what may be happening is there is a problem when it opens application on the smartphone with Android 6.0 and it closes, because the XE7 shows exceptions only until the android 5.0, to show exceptions to the smartphone 6.0 has to develop in Seatle.
