What is "xhtml"
The XHTML, or Extensible Hypertext Markup Language, is a reworking HTML markup language, based on XML. Combines the tags of HTML markup with XML rules. This standardization process has in view the display of web pages on various devices (television, Palm, mobile, etc). Its intention is to improve accessibility.
XHTML can be interpreted by any device, regardless of the platform used, as the markings have semantic sense for machines. HTML cannot do this implementation. However, there are not many differences between HTML and XHTML. To check whether a XHTML page is well built, the best method is to validate the code through a web application made available by the W3C organization.
