What is "windows-phone"

Windows Phone is a mobile operating system, developed by Microsoft, successor to the Windows Mobile platform, (although totally incompatible with this ) which, unlike its predecessor, is focused on the consumer market rather than the business market. It was released in Europe, Australia and Singapore on 21 October 2010, in the US and Canada on 8 November, in Mexico on 24 October, and in early 2011 in Asia.
