What is "wildcard"

Wildcard or wildcard characters are symbols used to indicate that the position are representing one or more characters, several languages have the feature, in particular languages widely used in reports.

Languages that do not have the resource natively as java, use the resource through special functions such as the Regular Expression functions.

Some characters that may be used as wildcard (wildcard) characters are:

• + Represents only a single character
• * Represents one or more characters
• % In SQL represents one or more characters
