What is "vmware"

Vmware is a software/virtual machine that allows the installation and use of one operating system within another giving real support to software from other operating systems.

Using virtualization software such as Vmware, it is possible to run one or more operating systems simultaneously in an isolated environment, creating complete (virtual) computers running within a physical computer that can run a completely separate operating system. From the point of view of the user and the software, one does not even notice the difference between the real and the virtual machine. It is widely used in data centers, as it allows to create redundancy and additional security without resorting to so many physical machines and distributing and taking better advantage of the resources of the host machines.
