Unix is a portable, multitasking, and multi-user operating system originally created by Ken Thompson, Dennis Ritchie, Douglas Mcilroy, and Peter Weiner, who worked at AT&T’s Bell Labs (Bell Labs). The UNIX brand is owned by The Open Group, a consortium of computer companies.
