What is "ubuntu"
The objective of ubuntu project is to provide a computer-free environment, centered on a Linux distribution and complemented by online services.
The core of the Ubuntu distribution contains a Gnome-based desktop environment, which is fully integrated into the system, in particular providing a graphical interface for hardware management and system administration.
Ubuntu side projects include(all in English):
- Edubuntu: for use in teaching.
- Kubuntu: KDE integration on Ubuntu.
- Mythbuntu: to the media centers.
- Ubuntu Studio: for multimedia production.
- Xubuntu: Xfce integration in Ubuntu.
- Lubuntu: LXDE integration into Ubuntu, focusing on speed and energy efficiency.
