What is "scraping"

Scraping is the activity of extracting content from a web page for various purposes from the raw storage of information to the refinement and organization of page content. This process goes hand in hand with the Crawler process (navigation between pages via access to links from the page itself) and can be done in basically two ways to Manual (people manually select what is relevant or by performing an HTML parsing) and a third emerging that is the use of computer vision to identify the relevant materials of a page.
