What is "pop3"

The Post Office Protocol (translated as "Mail Protocol"), or POP3, is a protocol used in remote access to an electronic mailbox. It is set in RFC 1939 and allows all messages contained in an email box to be sequentially transferred to a local computer. This way, the user can read the incoming messages, delete them, reply to them, store them etc.
