What is "photoshop"

Adobe Photoshop is a software characterized as a two-dimensional raster image editor (still having some editing capabilities typical of vector editors) developed by Adobe Systems.

Its latest version is nicknamed Adobe Photoshop CC (meaning Creative Cloud, corresponding to its fourteenth edition [14.0] since its release), available for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X operating systems. It can also be run on Linux, through the Wine compatibility layer. Some earlier versions were also released for IRIX, but support for this version was discontinued after version 3.0.
