What is "pdt"

The Eclipse PHP Development Tools Project is an IDE that provides a set of components and tools that facilitate PHP project development. As the name suggests it is based on the Eclipse platform and can be downloaded from the Zend website. Among the characteristics of Eclipse PDT we can mention: PHP code editing, Javascript and HTML highlighting and syntax placement; Auto-formatting, code templates and auto-complete; Local and remote debugging support for Xdebug and Zend Debugger. Currently PDT is based on Eclipse Indigo, but can be downloaded as a plugin for Eclipse Juno, which is the current version of Eclipse.
