What is "monogame"

Monogame is nothing more than Microsof’s updated and expanded XNA, continuing a promising project that has been discontinued. Currently it is cross-platform, managing with C# to make applications for desktops in general (Windows, Linux and Mac), mobile devices (Windows, Android and iOS), among others.
