What is "logo"

It was created in 1967 by Bolt, Beranek and Newman (BBN), a research firm from Cambridge, Massachusetts, by Wally Feurzeig and Seymour Papert.

His intellectual roots lie in artificial intelligence, mathematical logic, and developmental psychology. In the first four years of Logo research, the development and teaching work was done at BBN.

The first implementation of Logo, called Ghost, was written in LISP on an SDS 950. The goal was to create an area of mathematics where children could play with words and phrases. Modeled on LISP, the goals of design Logo includes accessible power and informative error messages.

The use of Turtles virtual allowed feedback immediate visual and debugging.
