What is "laravel-5"

Laravel is an open-source framework for developing web applications and services with PHP.

Use this tag for specific questions about Laravel 5 or later.

Due to major changes in the structure of the Framework that were introduced in the development of Laravel 4.3, the creator decided to rename this version to 5.0, with release in February 2015.

Four months later, in June 2015, Laravel released version 5.1, the first LTS (Long Term Support), with extended support for up to two years. Version 5.1 also increases the minimum requirement of the version of PHP to 5.5.9
