What is "intel-xdk"

The Cross-Platform Development Tool HTML5 Intel XDK provides a streamlined workflow to allow developers to easily design, debug, create, and deploy hybrid web apps across multiple app modes and form factor devices.

The main objective of Intel XDK is based on the appMobi, that supported a full range of features and services that are key to today’s mobile app development: multi-platform message push, app promotion, in-app purchases, live app updates, integrated data analysis, API services for games and backend.

Specifically, the Intel XDK includes a user interface builder called "App Designer" that supports several frameworks (including jQuery Mobile, Twitter Bootstrap and App Framework); a code editor, called "Brackets", natively managing all the files generated through the App Designer; and a device emulator such as Ripple which also supports the Cordova 2.9 in addition to its own APIs of appMobi, allowing you to create, test, emulate, debug and build applications using Cordova.

In addition, the Intel XDK is independent of or any other browser-specific functionality and runs on OS X, Windows and Linux Ubuntu.
