What is "hyper-v"
Hyper-V is a Hypervisor-based virtualization technology. Hypervisor is the virtualization processing platform that allows multiple Operating Systems to share a single hardware platform. The Virtualization stack runs with the parent partition and has direct access to the hardware devices. The parent partition creates child partitions, which host the guest Operating Systems. After adding the Hyper-V function, a thin layer of hypervisor is added between the operating system and hardware resources. The operating system installed at the moment becomes the parent partition from where you can create and manage child partitions. Child partitions do not have direct access to other hardware resources and a virtual view of resources is presented, such as virtual devices.
