What is "globalization"

This step involves creating and coding an application that is culture- and language-independent, as well as supporting localized user interfaces and regional data for all users. It involves making design and programming decisions that are not based on assumptions for specific cultures. Even when a globalized application is not localized, it has been created and written so that it can be later localized in one or more languages with relative ease.
