What is "console"
The command console also called shell for Unix-like systems is a textual interface that interprets the existing commands in an operating system and sends them to the kernel later printing the result of the processing on the screen.
Command interpreters allow users to issue multiple commands, which requires the user to know these commands and their parameters, in addition to the syntax of the interpreted language.
During the 1960s, user interaction with the computer was primarily performed via command line. In the following decade researchers began to develop graphical interfaces to provide simpler and logical ways for interaction with the machine, which modeled the advancement of computer science, with the emergence of new peripheral devices such as the mouse.
