What is "cmd"

Command Prompt (cmd.exe) is a command line interpreter on OS/2 and systems based on Windows. It is a command analogous to command.com of MS-DOS and systems Windows 9x, or of shells used by the systems Unix.

The cmd.exe is a platform native program. This allows you to take advantage of resources available to native platform programs that are otherwise unavailable to programs OF. In fact cmd.exe is a program of Windows which acts as a command line interpreter similar to OF, much used by Hackers and Crackers, the CMD serves to access external files on and your PC can be used for malicious intentions.
