What is "bluetooth"

Bluetooth is an industrial specification for areas of wireless personal networks (Wireless personal area Networks - Pans) considered PAN or even WPAN type. Bluetooth provides a way to connect and exchange information between devices such as mobile phones, laptops, computers, printers, digital cameras and digital video game consoles via a globally licensed and secure short-range radio frequency. Bluetooth specifications were developed and licensed by the "Bluetooth Special Interest Group". Bluetooth technology differs from Irda technology by the type of electromagnetic radiation used.
