BASS is an audio library developed for various software platforms. It aims to provide the developer with powerful functions of sampling, streaming (MP3, MP2, MP1, OGG, WAV, AIFF, custom, and more via codecs and add-ons), execution and recording. All in one compact dll that will not weigh in its distribution.

Apis are available for C/C++, Delphi, Visual Basic and NASM; with several examples for your introduction. . Net and other Apis may also be available. BASS is also available for Android, iOS, Wince, and ARM Linux platforms.

BASS is free for non-commercial use. If you are part of a non-profit project, you can enjoy BASS at no cost. However there are some types of commercial licenses available.
