What is "animation"
Animation is the rapid display of a sequence of visual effects in order to create an illusion of movement or change. Animation elements are usually images or mathematical representations. Animation effects can be 2D or 3D.
The most common method of animation presentation is like a film or a video program, although there are other methods. This type of presentation is usually performed with a camera and a projector or a computer preview screen that can quickly traverse images in a sequence. Animation can be done with any hand-made art, computer-generated images, or three-dimensional objects, for example, dolls or clay figures, or a combination of techniques. The position of each object in any particular image refers to the position of that object in the previous and subsequent images, so that the objects seem to move in a fluid manner, independently of each other. The viewing device displays these images in rapid succession, usually 24, 25 or 30 frames per second.
